Al-Infitaar
سُورَةُ الانفِطَارِ - The Cleaving
إِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ ٱنفَطَرَتْ
Interpretation:
When the sky breaks apart
وَإِذَا ٱلْكَوَاكِبُ ٱنتَثَرَتْ
Interpretation:
And when the stars fall, scattering,
وَإِذَا ٱلْبِحَارُ فُجِّرَتْ
Interpretation:
And when the seas are erupted
وَإِذَا ٱلْقُبُورُ بُعْثِرَتْ
Interpretation:
And when the [contents of] graves are scattered,
عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌۭ مَّا قَدَّمَتْ وَأَخَّرَتْ
Interpretation:
A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back.
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ مَا غَرَّكَ بِرَبِّكَ ٱلْكَرِيمِ
Interpretation:
O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous,
ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكَ فَسَوَّىٰكَ فَعَدَلَكَ
Interpretation:
Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you?
فِىٓ أَىِّ صُورَةٍۢ مَّا شَآءَ رَكَّبَكَ
Interpretation:
In whatever form He willed has He assembled you.
كَلَّا بَلْ تُكَذِّبُونَ بِٱلدِّينِ
Interpretation:
No! But you deny the Recompense.
وَإِنَّ عَلَيْكُمْ لَحَٰفِظِينَ
Interpretation:
And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers,
كِرَامًۭا كَٰتِبِينَ
Interpretation:
Noble and recording;
يَعْلَمُونَ مَا تَفْعَلُونَ
Interpretation:
They know whatever you do.
إِنَّ ٱلْأَبْرَارَ لَفِى نَعِيمٍۢ
Interpretation:
Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure,
وَإِنَّ ٱلْفُجَّارَ لَفِى جَحِيمٍۢ
Interpretation:
And indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire.
يَصْلَوْنَهَا يَوْمَ ٱلدِّينِ
Interpretation:
They will [enter to] burn therein on the Day of Recompense,
وَمَا هُمْ عَنْهَا بِغَآئِبِينَ
Interpretation:
And never therefrom will they be absent.
وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا يَوْمُ ٱلدِّينِ
Interpretation:
And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense?
ثُمَّ مَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا يَوْمُ ٱلدِّينِ
Interpretation:
Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense?
يَوْمَ لَا تَمْلِكُ نَفْسٌۭ لِّنَفْسٍۢ شَيْـًۭٔا ۖ وَٱلْأَمْرُ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ لِّلَّهِ
Interpretation:
It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah.
إِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ ٱنفَطَرَتْ 1 وَإِذَا ٱلْكَوَاكِبُ ٱنتَثَرَتْ 2 وَإِذَا ٱلْبِحَارُ فُجِّرَتْ 3 وَإِذَا ٱلْقُبُورُ بُعْثِرَتْ 4 عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌۭ مَّا قَدَّمَتْ وَأَخَّرَتْ 5 يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ مَا غَرَّكَ بِرَبِّكَ ٱلْكَرِيمِ 6 ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكَ فَسَوَّىٰكَ فَعَدَلَكَ 7 فِىٓ أَىِّ صُورَةٍۢ مَّا شَآءَ رَكَّبَكَ 8 كَلَّا بَلْ تُكَذِّبُونَ بِٱلدِّينِ 9 وَإِنَّ عَلَيْكُمْ لَحَٰفِظِينَ 10 كِرَامًۭا كَٰتِبِينَ 11 يَعْلَمُونَ مَا تَفْعَلُونَ 12 إِنَّ ٱلْأَبْرَارَ لَفِى نَعِيمٍۢ 13 وَإِنَّ ٱلْفُجَّارَ لَفِى جَحِيمٍۢ 14 يَصْلَوْنَهَا يَوْمَ ٱلدِّينِ 15 وَمَا هُمْ عَنْهَا بِغَآئِبِينَ 16 وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا يَوْمُ ٱلدِّينِ 17 ثُمَّ مَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا يَوْمُ ٱلدِّينِ 18 يَوْمَ لَا تَمْلِكُ نَفْسٌۭ لِّنَفْسٍۢ شَيْـًۭٔا ۖ وَٱلْأَمْرُ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ لِّلَّهِ 19
