An-Naazi'aat
سُورَةُ النَّازِعَاتِ - Those who drag forth
وَٱلنَّٰزِعَٰتِ غَرْقًۭا
Interpretation:
By those [angels] who extract with violence
وَٱلنَّٰشِطَٰتِ نَشْطًۭا
Interpretation:
And [by] those who remove with ease
وَٱلسَّٰبِحَٰتِ سَبْحًۭا
Interpretation:
And [by] those who glide [as if] swimming
فَٱلسَّٰبِقَٰتِ سَبْقًۭا
Interpretation:
And those who race each other in a race
فَٱلْمُدَبِّرَٰتِ أَمْرًۭا
Interpretation:
And those who arrange [each] matter,
يَوْمَ تَرْجُفُ ٱلرَّاجِفَةُ
Interpretation:
On the Day the blast [of the Horn] will convulse [creation],
تَتْبَعُهَا ٱلرَّادِفَةُ
Interpretation:
There will follow it the subsequent [one].
قُلُوبٌۭ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ وَاجِفَةٌ
Interpretation:
Hearts, that Day, will tremble,
أَبْصَٰرُهَا خَٰشِعَةٌۭ
Interpretation:
Their eyes humbled.
يَقُولُونَ أَءِنَّا لَمَرْدُودُونَ فِى ٱلْحَافِرَةِ
Interpretation:
They are [presently] saying, "Will we indeed be returned to [our] former state [of life]?
أَءِذَا كُنَّا عِظَٰمًۭا نَّخِرَةًۭ
Interpretation:
Even if we should be decayed bones?
قَالُوا۟ تِلْكَ إِذًۭا كَرَّةٌ خَاسِرَةٌۭ
Interpretation:
They say, "That, then, would be a losing return."
فَإِنَّمَا هِىَ زَجْرَةٌۭ وَٰحِدَةٌۭ
Interpretation:
Indeed, it will be but one shout,
فَإِذَا هُم بِٱلسَّاهِرَةِ
Interpretation:
And suddenly they will be [alert] upon the earth's surface.
هَلْ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ مُوسَىٰٓ
Interpretation:
Has there reached you the story of Moses? -
إِذْ نَادَىٰهُ رَبُّهُۥ بِٱلْوَادِ ٱلْمُقَدَّسِ طُوًى
Interpretation:
When his Lord called to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa,
ٱذْهَبْ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ إِنَّهُۥ طَغَىٰ
Interpretation:
"Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed.
فَقُلْ هَل لَّكَ إِلَىٰٓ أَن تَزَكَّىٰ
Interpretation:
And say to him, 'Would you [be willing to] purify yourself
وَأَهْدِيَكَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ فَتَخْشَىٰ
Interpretation:
And let me guide you to your Lord so you would fear [Him]?'"
فَأَرَىٰهُ ٱلْءَايَةَ ٱلْكُبْرَىٰ
Interpretation:
And he showed him the greatest sign,
فَكَذَّبَ وَعَصَىٰ
Interpretation:
But Pharaoh denied and disobeyed.
ثُمَّ أَدْبَرَ يَسْعَىٰ
Interpretation:
Then he turned his back, striving.
فَحَشَرَ فَنَادَىٰ
Interpretation:
And he gathered [his people] and called out
فَقَالَ أَنَا۠ رَبُّكُمُ ٱلْأَعْلَىٰ
Interpretation:
And said, "I am your most exalted lord."
فَأَخَذَهُ ٱللَّهُ نَكَالَ ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ وَٱلْأُولَىٰٓ
Interpretation:
So Allah seized him in exemplary punishment for the last and the first [transgression].
إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَعِبْرَةًۭ لِّمَن يَخْشَىٰٓ
Interpretation:
Indeed in that is a warning for whoever would fear [Allah].
ءَأَنتُمْ أَشَدُّ خَلْقًا أَمِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ ۚ بَنَىٰهَا
Interpretation:
Are you a more difficult creation or is the heaven? Allah constructed it.
رَفَعَ سَمْكَهَا فَسَوَّىٰهَا
Interpretation:
He raised its ceiling and proportioned it.
وَأَغْطَشَ لَيْلَهَا وَأَخْرَجَ ضُحَىٰهَا
Interpretation:
And He darkened its night and extracted its brightness.
وَٱلْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ دَحَىٰهَآ
Interpretation:
And after that He spread the earth.
أَخْرَجَ مِنْهَا مَآءَهَا وَمَرْعَىٰهَا
Interpretation:
He extracted from it its water and its pasture,
وَٱلْجِبَالَ أَرْسَىٰهَا
Interpretation:
And the mountains He set firmly
مَتَٰعًۭا لَّكُمْ وَلِأَنْعَٰمِكُمْ
Interpretation:
As provision for you and your grazing livestock.
فَإِذَا جَآءَتِ ٱلطَّآمَّةُ ٱلْكُبْرَىٰ
Interpretation:
But when there comes the greatest Overwhelming Calamity -
يَوْمَ يَتَذَكَّرُ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ مَا سَعَىٰ
Interpretation:
The Day when man will remember that for which he strove,
وَبُرِّزَتِ ٱلْجَحِيمُ لِمَن يَرَىٰ
Interpretation:
And Hellfire will be exposed for [all] those who see -
فَأَمَّا مَن طَغَىٰ
Interpretation:
So as for he who transgressed
وَءَاثَرَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنْيَا
Interpretation:
And preferred the life of the world,
فَإِنَّ ٱلْجَحِيمَ هِىَ ٱلْمَأْوَىٰ
Interpretation:
Then indeed, Hellfire will be [his] refuge.
وَأَمَّا مَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِۦ وَنَهَى ٱلنَّفْسَ عَنِ ٱلْهَوَىٰ
Interpretation:
But as for he who feared the position of his Lord and prevented the soul from [unlawful] inclination,
فَإِنَّ ٱلْجَنَّةَ هِىَ ٱلْمَأْوَىٰ
Interpretation:
Then indeed, Paradise will be [his] refuge.
يَسْـَٔلُونَكَ عَنِ ٱلسَّاعَةِ أَيَّانَ مُرْسَىٰهَا
Interpretation:
They ask you, [O Muhammad], about the Hour: when is its arrival?
فِيمَ أَنتَ مِن ذِكْرَىٰهَآ
Interpretation:
In what [position] are you that you should mention it?
إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ مُنتَهَىٰهَآ
Interpretation:
To your Lord is its finality.
إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مُنذِرُ مَن يَخْشَىٰهَا
Interpretation:
You are only a warner for those who fear it.
كَأَنَّهُمْ يَوْمَ يَرَوْنَهَا لَمْ يَلْبَثُوٓا۟ إِلَّا عَشِيَّةً أَوْ ضُحَىٰهَا
Interpretation:
It will be, on the Day they see it, as though they had not remained [in the world] except for an afternoon or a morning thereof.
وَٱلنَّٰزِعَٰتِ غَرْقًۭا 1 وَٱلنَّٰشِطَٰتِ نَشْطًۭا 2 وَٱلسَّٰبِحَٰتِ سَبْحًۭا 3 فَٱلسَّٰبِقَٰتِ سَبْقًۭا 4 فَٱلْمُدَبِّرَٰتِ أَمْرًۭا 5 يَوْمَ تَرْجُفُ ٱلرَّاجِفَةُ 6 تَتْبَعُهَا ٱلرَّادِفَةُ 7 قُلُوبٌۭ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ وَاجِفَةٌ 8 أَبْصَٰرُهَا خَٰشِعَةٌۭ 9 يَقُولُونَ أَءِنَّا لَمَرْدُودُونَ فِى ٱلْحَافِرَةِ 10 أَءِذَا كُنَّا عِظَٰمًۭا نَّخِرَةًۭ 11 قَالُوا۟ تِلْكَ إِذًۭا كَرَّةٌ خَاسِرَةٌۭ 12 فَإِنَّمَا هِىَ زَجْرَةٌۭ وَٰحِدَةٌۭ 13 فَإِذَا هُم بِٱلسَّاهِرَةِ 14 هَلْ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ مُوسَىٰٓ 15 إِذْ نَادَىٰهُ رَبُّهُۥ بِٱلْوَادِ ٱلْمُقَدَّسِ طُوًى 16 ٱذْهَبْ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ إِنَّهُۥ طَغَىٰ 17 فَقُلْ هَل لَّكَ إِلَىٰٓ أَن تَزَكَّىٰ 18 وَأَهْدِيَكَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ فَتَخْشَىٰ 19 فَأَرَىٰهُ ٱلْءَايَةَ ٱلْكُبْرَىٰ 20 فَكَذَّبَ وَعَصَىٰ 21 ثُمَّ أَدْبَرَ يَسْعَىٰ 22 فَحَشَرَ فَنَادَىٰ 23 فَقَالَ أَنَا۠ رَبُّكُمُ ٱلْأَعْلَىٰ 24 فَأَخَذَهُ ٱللَّهُ نَكَالَ ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ وَٱلْأُولَىٰٓ 25 إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَعِبْرَةًۭ لِّمَن يَخْشَىٰٓ 26 ءَأَنتُمْ أَشَدُّ خَلْقًا أَمِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ ۚ بَنَىٰهَا 27 رَفَعَ سَمْكَهَا فَسَوَّىٰهَا 28 وَأَغْطَشَ لَيْلَهَا وَأَخْرَجَ ضُحَىٰهَا 29 وَٱلْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ دَحَىٰهَآ 30 أَخْرَجَ مِنْهَا مَآءَهَا وَمَرْعَىٰهَا 31 وَٱلْجِبَالَ أَرْسَىٰهَا 32 مَتَٰعًۭا لَّكُمْ وَلِأَنْعَٰمِكُمْ 33 فَإِذَا جَآءَتِ ٱلطَّآمَّةُ ٱلْكُبْرَىٰ 34 يَوْمَ يَتَذَكَّرُ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ مَا سَعَىٰ 35 وَبُرِّزَتِ ٱلْجَحِيمُ لِمَن يَرَىٰ 36 فَأَمَّا مَن طَغَىٰ 37 وَءَاثَرَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنْيَا 38 فَإِنَّ ٱلْجَحِيمَ هِىَ ٱلْمَأْوَىٰ 39 وَأَمَّا مَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِۦ وَنَهَى ٱلنَّفْسَ عَنِ ٱلْهَوَىٰ 40 فَإِنَّ ٱلْجَنَّةَ هِىَ ٱلْمَأْوَىٰ 41 يَسْـَٔلُونَكَ عَنِ ٱلسَّاعَةِ أَيَّانَ مُرْسَىٰهَا 42 فِيمَ أَنتَ مِن ذِكْرَىٰهَآ 43 إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ مُنتَهَىٰهَآ 44 إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مُنذِرُ مَن يَخْشَىٰهَا 45 كَأَنَّهُمْ يَوْمَ يَرَوْنَهَا لَمْ يَلْبَثُوٓا۟ إِلَّا عَشِيَّةً أَوْ ضُحَىٰهَا 46
