Ad-Dhuhaa
سُورَةُ الضُّحَىٰ - The Morning Hours
وَٱلضُّحَىٰ
Interpretation:
By the morning brightness
وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا سَجَىٰ
Interpretation:
And [by] the night when it covers with darkness,
مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَىٰ
Interpretation:
Your Lord has not taken leave of you, [O Muhammad], nor has He detested [you].
وَلَلْءَاخِرَةُ خَيْرٌۭ لَّكَ مِنَ ٱلْأُولَىٰ
Interpretation:
And the Hereafter is better for you than the first [life].
وَلَسَوْفَ يُعْطِيكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرْضَىٰٓ
Interpretation:
And your Lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied.
أَلَمْ يَجِدْكَ يَتِيمًۭا فَـَٔاوَىٰ
Interpretation:
Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge?
وَوَجَدَكَ ضَآلًّۭا فَهَدَىٰ
Interpretation:
And He found you lost and guided [you],
وَوَجَدَكَ عَآئِلًۭا فَأَغْنَىٰ
Interpretation:
And He found you poor and made [you] self-sufficient.
فَأَمَّا ٱلْيَتِيمَ فَلَا تَقْهَرْ
Interpretation:
So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him].
وَأَمَّا ٱلسَّآئِلَ فَلَا تَنْهَرْ
Interpretation:
And as for the petitioner, do not repel [him].
وَأَمَّا بِنِعْمَةِ رَبِّكَ فَحَدِّثْ
Interpretation:
But as for the favor of your Lord, report [it].
وَٱلضُّحَىٰ 1 وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا سَجَىٰ 2 مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَىٰ 3 وَلَلْءَاخِرَةُ خَيْرٌۭ لَّكَ مِنَ ٱلْأُولَىٰ 4 وَلَسَوْفَ يُعْطِيكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرْضَىٰٓ 5 أَلَمْ يَجِدْكَ يَتِيمًۭا فَـَٔاوَىٰ 6 وَوَجَدَكَ ضَآلًّۭا فَهَدَىٰ 7 وَوَجَدَكَ عَآئِلًۭا فَأَغْنَىٰ 8 فَأَمَّا ٱلْيَتِيمَ فَلَا تَقْهَرْ 9 وَأَمَّا ٱلسَّآئِلَ فَلَا تَنْهَرْ 10 وَأَمَّا بِنِعْمَةِ رَبِّكَ فَحَدِّثْ 11
