As-Saaffaat
سُورَةُ الصَّافَّاتِ - Those drawn up in Ranks
وَٱلصَّٰٓفَّٰتِ صَفًّۭا
Interpretation:
By those [angels] lined up in rows
فَٱلزَّٰجِرَٰتِ زَجْرًۭا
Interpretation:
And those who drive [the clouds]
فَٱلتَّٰلِيَٰتِ ذِكْرًا
Interpretation:
And those who recite the message,
إِنَّ إِلَٰهَكُمْ لَوَٰحِدٌۭ
Interpretation:
Indeed, your God is One,
رَّبُّ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا وَرَبُّ ٱلْمَشَٰرِقِ
Interpretation:
Lord of the heavens and the earth and that between them and Lord of the sunrises.
إِنَّا زَيَّنَّا ٱلسَّمَآءَ ٱلدُّنْيَا بِزِينَةٍ ٱلْكَوَاكِبِ
Interpretation:
Indeed, We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment of stars
وَحِفْظًۭا مِّن كُلِّ شَيْطَٰنٍۢ مَّارِدٍۢ
Interpretation:
And as protection against every rebellious devil
لَّا يَسَّمَّعُونَ إِلَى ٱلْمَلَإِ ٱلْأَعْلَىٰ وَيُقْذَفُونَ مِن كُلِّ جَانِبٍۢ
Interpretation:
[So] they may not listen to the exalted assembly [of angels] and are pelted from every side,
دُحُورًۭا ۖ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌۭ وَاصِبٌ
Interpretation:
Repelled; and for them is a constant punishment,
إِلَّا مَنْ خَطِفَ ٱلْخَطْفَةَ فَأَتْبَعَهُۥ شِهَابٌۭ ثَاقِبٌۭ
Interpretation:
Except one who snatches [some words] by theft, but they are pursued by a burning flame, piercing [in brightness].
فَٱسْتَفْتِهِمْ أَهُمْ أَشَدُّ خَلْقًا أَم مَّنْ خَلَقْنَآ ۚ إِنَّا خَلَقْنَٰهُم مِّن طِينٍۢ لَّازِبٍۭ
Interpretation:
Then inquire of them, [O Muhammad], "Are they a stronger [or more difficult] creation or those [others] We have created?" Indeed, We created men from sticky clay.
بَلْ عَجِبْتَ وَيَسْخَرُونَ
Interpretation:
But you wonder, while they mock,
وَإِذَا ذُكِّرُوا۟ لَا يَذْكُرُونَ
Interpretation:
And when they are reminded, they remember not.
وَإِذَا رَأَوْا۟ ءَايَةًۭ يَسْتَسْخِرُونَ
Interpretation:
And when they see a sign, they ridicule
وَقَالُوٓا۟ إِنْ هَٰذَآ إِلَّا سِحْرٌۭ مُّبِينٌ
Interpretation:
And say, "This is not but obvious magic.
أَءِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًۭا وَعِظَٰمًا أَءِنَّا لَمَبْعُوثُونَ
Interpretation:
When we have died and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected?
أَوَءَابَآؤُنَا ٱلْأَوَّلُونَ
Interpretation:
And our forefathers [as well]?"
قُلْ نَعَمْ وَأَنتُمْ دَٰخِرُونَ
Interpretation:
Say, "Yes, and you will be [rendered] contemptible."
فَإِنَّمَا هِىَ زَجْرَةٌۭ وَٰحِدَةٌۭ فَإِذَا هُمْ يَنظُرُونَ
Interpretation:
It will be only one shout, and at once they will be observing.
وَقَالُوا۟ يَٰوَيْلَنَا هَٰذَا يَوْمُ ٱلدِّينِ
Interpretation:
They will say, "O woe to us! This is the Day of Recompense."
هَٰذَا يَوْمُ ٱلْفَصْلِ ٱلَّذِى كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَ
Interpretation:
[They will be told], "This is the Day of Judgement which you used to deny."
۞ ٱحْشُرُوا۟ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ وَأَزْوَٰجَهُمْ وَمَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْبُدُونَ
Interpretation:
[The angels will be ordered], "Gather those who committed wrong, their kinds, and what they used to worship
مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ فَٱهْدُوهُمْ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطِ ٱلْجَحِيمِ
Interpretation:
Other than Allah, and guide them to the path of Hellfire
وَقِفُوهُمْ ۖ إِنَّهُم مَّسْـُٔولُونَ
Interpretation:
And stop them; indeed, they are to be questioned."
مَا لَكُمْ لَا تَنَاصَرُونَ
Interpretation:
[They will be asked], "What is [wrong] with you? Why do you not help each other?"
بَلْ هُمُ ٱلْيَوْمَ مُسْتَسْلِمُونَ
Interpretation:
But they, that Day, are in surrender.
وَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍۢ يَتَسَآءَلُونَ
Interpretation:
And they will approach one another blaming each other.
قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّكُمْ كُنتُمْ تَأْتُونَنَا عَنِ ٱلْيَمِينِ
Interpretation:
They will say, "Indeed, you used to come at us from the right."
قَالُوا۟ بَل لَّمْ تَكُونُوا۟ مُؤْمِنِينَ
Interpretation:
The oppressors will say, "Rather, you [yourselves] were not believers,
وَمَا كَانَ لَنَا عَلَيْكُم مِّن سُلْطَٰنٍۭ ۖ بَلْ كُنتُمْ قَوْمًۭا طَٰغِينَ
Interpretation:
And we had over you no authority, but you were a transgressing people.
فَحَقَّ عَلَيْنَا قَوْلُ رَبِّنَآ ۖ إِنَّا لَذَآئِقُونَ
Interpretation:
So the word of our Lord has come into effect upon us; indeed, we will taste [punishment].
فَأَغْوَيْنَٰكُمْ إِنَّا كُنَّا غَٰوِينَ
Interpretation:
And we led you to deviation; indeed, we were deviators."
فَإِنَّهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ فِى ٱلْعَذَابِ مُشْتَرِكُونَ
Interpretation:
So indeed they, that Day, will be sharing in the punishment.
إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَفْعَلُ بِٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ
Interpretation:
Indeed, that is how We deal with the criminals.
إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوٓا۟ إِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ
Interpretation:
Indeed they, when it was said to them, "There is no deity but Allah," were arrogant
وَيَقُولُونَ أَئِنَّا لَتَارِكُوٓا۟ ءَالِهَتِنَا لِشَاعِرٍۢ مَّجْنُونٍۭ
Interpretation:
And were saying, "Are we to leave our gods for a mad poet?"
بَلْ جَآءَ بِٱلْحَقِّ وَصَدَّقَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
Interpretation:
Rather, the Prophet has come with the truth and confirmed the [previous] messengers.
إِنَّكُمْ لَذَآئِقُوا۟ ٱلْعَذَابِ ٱلْأَلِيمِ
Interpretation:
Indeed, you [disbelievers] will be tasters of the painful punishment,
وَمَا تُجْزَوْنَ إِلَّا مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
Interpretation:
And you will not be recompensed except for what you used to do -
إِلَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ
Interpretation:
But not the chosen servants of Allah.
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ لَهُمْ رِزْقٌۭ مَّعْلُومٌۭ
Interpretation:
Those will have a provision determined -
فَوَٰكِهُ ۖ وَهُم مُّكْرَمُونَ
Interpretation:
Fruits; and they will be honored
فِى جَنَّٰتِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ
Interpretation:
In gardens of pleasure
عَلَىٰ سُرُرٍۢ مُّتَقَٰبِلِينَ
Interpretation:
On thrones facing one another.
يُطَافُ عَلَيْهِم بِكَأْسٍۢ مِّن مَّعِينٍۭ
Interpretation:
There will be circulated among them a cup [of wine] from a flowing spring,
بَيْضَآءَ لَذَّةٍۢ لِّلشَّٰرِبِينَ
Interpretation:
White and delicious to the drinkers;
لَا فِيهَا غَوْلٌۭ وَلَا هُمْ عَنْهَا يُنزَفُونَ
Interpretation:
No bad effect is there in it, nor from it will they be intoxicated.
وَعِندَهُمْ قَٰصِرَٰتُ ٱلطَّرْفِ عِينٌۭ
Interpretation:
And with them will be women limiting [their] glances, with large, [beautiful] eyes,
كَأَنَّهُنَّ بَيْضٌۭ مَّكْنُونٌۭ
Interpretation:
As if they were [delicate] eggs, well-protected.
فَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍۢ يَتَسَآءَلُونَ
Interpretation:
And they will approach one another, inquiring of each other.
قَالَ قَآئِلٌۭ مِّنْهُمْ إِنِّى كَانَ لِى قَرِينٌۭ
Interpretation:
A speaker among them will say, "Indeed, I had a companion [on earth]
يَقُولُ أَءِنَّكَ لَمِنَ ٱلْمُصَدِّقِينَ
Interpretation:
Who would say, 'Are you indeed of those who believe
أَءِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًۭا وَعِظَٰمًا أَءِنَّا لَمَدِينُونَ
Interpretation:
That when we have died and become dust and bones, we will indeed be recompensed?'"
قَالَ هَلْ أَنتُم مُّطَّلِعُونَ
Interpretation:
He will say, "Would you [care to] look?"
فَٱطَّلَعَ فَرَءَاهُ فِى سَوَآءِ ٱلْجَحِيمِ
Interpretation:
And he will look and see him in the midst of the Hellfire.
قَالَ تَٱللَّهِ إِن كِدتَّ لَتُرْدِينِ
Interpretation:
He will say, "By Allah, you almost ruined me.
وَلَوْلَا نِعْمَةُ رَبِّى لَكُنتُ مِنَ ٱلْمُحْضَرِينَ
Interpretation:
If not for the favor of my Lord, I would have been of those brought in [to Hell].
أَفَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَيِّتِينَ
Interpretation:
Then, are we not to die
إِلَّا مَوْتَتَنَا ٱلْأُولَىٰ وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُعَذَّبِينَ
Interpretation:
Except for our first death, and we will not be punished?"
إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَهُوَ ٱلْفَوْزُ ٱلْعَظِيمُ
Interpretation:
Indeed, this is the great attainment.
لِمِثْلِ هَٰذَا فَلْيَعْمَلِ ٱلْعَٰمِلُونَ
Interpretation:
For the like of this let the workers [on earth] work.
أَذَٰلِكَ خَيْرٌۭ نُّزُلًا أَمْ شَجَرَةُ ٱلزَّقُّومِ
Interpretation:
Is Paradise a better accommodation or the tree of zaqqum?
إِنَّا جَعَلْنَٰهَا فِتْنَةًۭ لِّلظَّٰلِمِينَ
Interpretation:
Indeed, We have made it a torment for the wrongdoers.
إِنَّهَا شَجَرَةٌۭ تَخْرُجُ فِىٓ أَصْلِ ٱلْجَحِيمِ
Interpretation:
Indeed, it is a tree issuing from the bottom of the Hellfire,
طَلْعُهَا كَأَنَّهُۥ رُءُوسُ ٱلشَّيَٰطِينِ
Interpretation:
Its emerging fruit as if it was heads of the devils.
فَإِنَّهُمْ لَءَاكِلُونَ مِنْهَا فَمَالِـُٔونَ مِنْهَا ٱلْبُطُونَ
Interpretation:
And indeed, they will eat from it and fill with it their bellies.
ثُمَّ إِنَّ لَهُمْ عَلَيْهَا لَشَوْبًۭا مِّنْ حَمِيمٍۢ
Interpretation:
Then indeed, they will have after it a mixture of scalding water.
ثُمَّ إِنَّ مَرْجِعَهُمْ لَإِلَى ٱلْجَحِيمِ
Interpretation:
Then indeed, their return will be to the Hellfire.
إِنَّهُمْ أَلْفَوْا۟ ءَابَآءَهُمْ ضَآلِّينَ
Interpretation:
Indeed they found their fathers astray.
فَهُمْ عَلَىٰٓ ءَاثَٰرِهِمْ يُهْرَعُونَ
Interpretation:
So they hastened [to follow] in their footsteps.
وَلَقَدْ ضَلَّ قَبْلَهُمْ أَكْثَرُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
Interpretation:
And there had already strayed before them most of the former peoples,
وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا فِيهِم مُّنذِرِينَ
Interpretation:
And We had already sent among them warners.
فَٱنظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلْمُنذَرِينَ
Interpretation:
Then look how was the end of those who were warned -
إِلَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ
Interpretation:
But not the chosen servants of Allah.
وَلَقَدْ نَادَىٰنَا نُوحٌۭ فَلَنِعْمَ ٱلْمُجِيبُونَ
Interpretation:
And Noah had certainly called Us, and [We are] the best of responders.
وَنَجَّيْنَٰهُ وَأَهْلَهُۥ مِنَ ٱلْكَرْبِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ
Interpretation:
And We saved him and his family from the great affliction.
وَجَعَلْنَا ذُرِّيَّتَهُۥ هُمُ ٱلْبَاقِينَ
Interpretation:
And We made his descendants those remaining [on the earth]
وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ فِى ٱلْءَاخِرِينَ
Interpretation:
And left for him [favorable mention] among later generations:
سَلَٰمٌ عَلَىٰ نُوحٍۢ فِى ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ
Interpretation:
"Peace upon Noah among the worlds."
إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ
Interpretation:
Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good.
إِنَّهُۥ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
Interpretation:
Indeed, he was of Our believing servants.
ثُمَّ أَغْرَقْنَا ٱلْءَاخَرِينَ
Interpretation:
Then We drowned the disbelievers.
۞ وَإِنَّ مِن شِيعَتِهِۦ لَإِبْرَٰهِيمَ
Interpretation:
And indeed, among his kind was Abraham,
إِذْ جَآءَ رَبَّهُۥ بِقَلْبٍۢ سَلِيمٍ
Interpretation:
When he came to his Lord with a sound heart
إِذْ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوْمِهِۦ مَاذَا تَعْبُدُونَ
Interpretation:
[And] when he said to his father and his people, "What do you worship?
أَئِفْكًا ءَالِهَةًۭ دُونَ ٱللَّهِ تُرِيدُونَ
Interpretation:
Is it falsehood [as] gods other than Allah you desire?
فَمَا ظَنُّكُم بِرَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ
Interpretation:
Then what is your thought about the Lord of the worlds?"
فَنَظَرَ نَظْرَةًۭ فِى ٱلنُّجُومِ
Interpretation:
And he cast a look at the stars
فَقَالَ إِنِّى سَقِيمٌۭ
Interpretation:
And said, "Indeed, I am [about to be] ill."
فَتَوَلَّوْا۟ عَنْهُ مُدْبِرِينَ
Interpretation:
So they turned away from him, departing.
فَرَاغَ إِلَىٰٓ ءَالِهَتِهِمْ فَقَالَ أَلَا تَأْكُلُونَ
Interpretation:
Then he turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat?
مَا لَكُمْ لَا تَنطِقُونَ
Interpretation:
What is [wrong] with you that you do not speak?"
فَرَاغَ عَلَيْهِمْ ضَرْبًۢا بِٱلْيَمِينِ
Interpretation:
And he turned upon them a blow with [his] right hand.
فَأَقْبَلُوٓا۟ إِلَيْهِ يَزِفُّونَ
Interpretation:
Then the people came toward him, hastening.
قَالَ أَتَعْبُدُونَ مَا تَنْحِتُونَ
Interpretation:
He said, "Do you worship that which you [yourselves] carve,
وَٱللَّهُ خَلَقَكُمْ وَمَا تَعْمَلُونَ
Interpretation:
While Allah created you and that which you do?"
قَالُوا۟ ٱبْنُوا۟ لَهُۥ بُنْيَٰنًۭا فَأَلْقُوهُ فِى ٱلْجَحِيمِ
Interpretation:
They said, "Construct for him a furnace and throw him into the burning fire."
فَأَرَادُوا۟ بِهِۦ كَيْدًۭا فَجَعَلْنَٰهُمُ ٱلْأَسْفَلِينَ
Interpretation:
And they intended for him a plan, but We made them the most debased.
وَقَالَ إِنِّى ذَاهِبٌ إِلَىٰ رَبِّى سَيَهْدِينِ
Interpretation:
And [then] he said, "Indeed, I will go to [where I am ordered by] my Lord; He will guide me.
رَبِّ هَبْ لِى مِنَ ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ
Interpretation:
My Lord, grant me [a child] from among the righteous."
فَبَشَّرْنَٰهُ بِغُلَٰمٍ حَلِيمٍۢ
Interpretation:
So We gave him good tidings of a forbearing boy.
فَلَمَّا بَلَغَ مَعَهُ ٱلسَّعْىَ قَالَ يَٰبُنَىَّ إِنِّىٓ أَرَىٰ فِى ٱلْمَنَامِ أَنِّىٓ أَذْبَحُكَ فَٱنظُرْ مَاذَا تَرَىٰ ۚ قَالَ يَٰٓأَبَتِ ٱفْعَلْ مَا تُؤْمَرُ ۖ سَتَجِدُنِىٓ إِن شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰبِرِينَ
Interpretation:
And when he reached with him [the age of] exertion, he said, "O my son, indeed I have seen in a dream that I [must] sacrifice you, so see what you think." He said, "O my father, do as you are commanded. You will find me, if Allah wills, of the steadfast."
فَلَمَّآ أَسْلَمَا وَتَلَّهُۥ لِلْجَبِينِ
Interpretation:
And when they had both submitted and he put him down upon his forehead,
وَنَٰدَيْنَٰهُ أَن يَٰٓإِبْرَٰهِيمُ
Interpretation:
We called to him, "O Abraham,
قَدْ صَدَّقْتَ ٱلرُّءْيَآ ۚ إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ
Interpretation:
You have fulfilled the vision." Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good.
إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَهُوَ ٱلْبَلَٰٓؤُا۟ ٱلْمُبِينُ
Interpretation:
Indeed, this was the clear trial.
وَفَدَيْنَٰهُ بِذِبْحٍ عَظِيمٍۢ
Interpretation:
And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice,
وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ فِى ٱلْءَاخِرِينَ
Interpretation:
And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations:
سَلَٰمٌ عَلَىٰٓ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ
Interpretation:
"Peace upon Abraham."
كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ
Interpretation:
Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good.
إِنَّهُۥ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
Interpretation:
Indeed, he was of Our believing servants.
وَبَشَّرْنَٰهُ بِإِسْحَٰقَ نَبِيًّۭا مِّنَ ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ
Interpretation:
And We gave him good tidings of Isaac, a prophet from among the righteous.
وَبَٰرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَىٰٓ إِسْحَٰقَ ۚ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِهِمَا مُحْسِنٌۭ وَظَالِمٌۭ لِّنَفْسِهِۦ مُبِينٌۭ
Interpretation:
And We blessed him and Isaac. But among their descendants is the doer of good and the clearly unjust to himself.
وَلَقَدْ مَنَنَّا عَلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ وَهَٰرُونَ
Interpretation:
And We did certainly confer favor upon Moses and Aaron.
وَنَجَّيْنَٰهُمَا وَقَوْمَهُمَا مِنَ ٱلْكَرْبِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ
Interpretation:
And We saved them and their people from the great affliction,
وَنَصَرْنَٰهُمْ فَكَانُوا۟ هُمُ ٱلْغَٰلِبِينَ
Interpretation:
And We supported them so it was they who overcame.
وَءَاتَيْنَٰهُمَا ٱلْكِتَٰبَ ٱلْمُسْتَبِينَ
Interpretation:
And We gave them the explicit Scripture,
وَهَدَيْنَٰهُمَا ٱلصِّرَٰطَ ٱلْمُسْتَقِيمَ
Interpretation:
And We guided them on the straight path.
وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِمَا فِى ٱلْءَاخِرِينَ
Interpretation:
And We left for them [favorable mention] among later generations:
سَلَٰمٌ عَلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ وَهَٰرُونَ
Interpretation:
"Peace upon Moses and Aaron."
إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ
Interpretation:
Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good.
إِنَّهُمَا مِنْ عِبَادِنَا ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
Interpretation:
Indeed, they were of Our believing servants.
وَإِنَّ إِلْيَاسَ لَمِنَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
Interpretation:
And indeed, Elias was from among the messengers,
إِذْ قَالَ لِقَوْمِهِۦٓ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ
Interpretation:
When he said to his people, "Will you not fear Allah?
أَتَدْعُونَ بَعْلًۭا وَتَذَرُونَ أَحْسَنَ ٱلْخَٰلِقِينَ
Interpretation:
Do you call upon Ba'l and leave the best of creators -
ٱللَّهَ رَبَّكُمْ وَرَبَّ ءَابَآئِكُمُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
Interpretation:
Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers?"
فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَإِنَّهُمْ لَمُحْضَرُونَ
Interpretation:
And they denied him, so indeed, they will be brought [for punishment],
إِلَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ
Interpretation:
Except the chosen servants of Allah.
وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ فِى ٱلْءَاخِرِينَ
Interpretation:
And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations:
سَلَٰمٌ عَلَىٰٓ إِلْ يَاسِينَ
Interpretation:
"Peace upon Elias."
إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ
Interpretation:
Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good.
إِنَّهُۥ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
Interpretation:
Indeed, he was of Our believing servants.
وَإِنَّ لُوطًۭا لَّمِنَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
Interpretation:
And indeed, Lot was among the messengers.
إِذْ نَجَّيْنَٰهُ وَأَهْلَهُۥٓ أَجْمَعِينَ
Interpretation:
[So mention] when We saved him and his family, all,
إِلَّا عَجُوزًۭا فِى ٱلْغَٰبِرِينَ
Interpretation:
Except his wife among those who remained [with the evildoers].
ثُمَّ دَمَّرْنَا ٱلْءَاخَرِينَ
Interpretation:
Then We destroyed the others.
وَإِنَّكُمْ لَتَمُرُّونَ عَلَيْهِم مُّصْبِحِينَ
Interpretation:
And indeed, you pass by them in the morning
وَبِٱلَّيْلِ ۗ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ
Interpretation:
And at night. Then will you not use reason?
وَإِنَّ يُونُسَ لَمِنَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
Interpretation:
And indeed, Jonah was among the messengers.
إِذْ أَبَقَ إِلَى ٱلْفُلْكِ ٱلْمَشْحُونِ
Interpretation:
[Mention] when he ran away to the laden ship.
فَسَاهَمَ فَكَانَ مِنَ ٱلْمُدْحَضِينَ
Interpretation:
And he drew lots and was among the losers.
فَٱلْتَقَمَهُ ٱلْحُوتُ وَهُوَ مُلِيمٌۭ
Interpretation:
Then the fish swallowed him, while he was blameworthy.
فَلَوْلَآ أَنَّهُۥ كَانَ مِنَ ٱلْمُسَبِّحِينَ
Interpretation:
And had he not been of those who exalt Allah,
لَلَبِثَ فِى بَطْنِهِۦٓ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ
Interpretation:
He would have remained inside its belly until the Day they are resurrected.
۞ فَنَبَذْنَٰهُ بِٱلْعَرَآءِ وَهُوَ سَقِيمٌۭ
Interpretation:
But We threw him onto the open shore while he was ill.
وَأَنۢبَتْنَا عَلَيْهِ شَجَرَةًۭ مِّن يَقْطِينٍۢ
Interpretation:
And We caused to grow over him a gourd vine.
وَأَرْسَلْنَٰهُ إِلَىٰ مِا۟ئَةِ أَلْفٍ أَوْ يَزِيدُونَ
Interpretation:
And We sent him to [his people of] a hundred thousand or more.
فَـَٔامَنُوا۟ فَمَتَّعْنَٰهُمْ إِلَىٰ حِينٍۢ
Interpretation:
And they believed, so We gave them enjoyment [of life] for a time.
فَٱسْتَفْتِهِمْ أَلِرَبِّكَ ٱلْبَنَاتُ وَلَهُمُ ٱلْبَنُونَ
Interpretation:
So inquire of them, [O Muhammad], "Does your Lord have daughters while they have sons?
أَمْ خَلَقْنَا ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةَ إِنَٰثًۭا وَهُمْ شَٰهِدُونَ
Interpretation:
Or did We create the angels as females while they were witnesses?"
أَلَآ إِنَّهُم مِّنْ إِفْكِهِمْ لَيَقُولُونَ
Interpretation:
Unquestionably, it is out of their [invented] falsehood that they say,
وَلَدَ ٱللَّهُ وَإِنَّهُمْ لَكَٰذِبُونَ
Interpretation:
" Allah has begotten," and indeed, they are liars.
أَصْطَفَى ٱلْبَنَاتِ عَلَى ٱلْبَنِينَ
Interpretation:
Has He chosen daughters over sons?
مَا لَكُمْ كَيْفَ تَحْكُمُونَ
Interpretation:
What is [wrong] with you? How do you make judgement?
أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ
Interpretation:
Then will you not be reminded?
أَمْ لَكُمْ سُلْطَٰنٌۭ مُّبِينٌۭ
Interpretation:
Or do you have a clear authority?
فَأْتُوا۟ بِكِتَٰبِكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ صَٰدِقِينَ
Interpretation:
Then produce your scripture, if you should be truthful.
وَجَعَلُوا۟ بَيْنَهُۥ وَبَيْنَ ٱلْجِنَّةِ نَسَبًۭا ۚ وَلَقَدْ عَلِمَتِ ٱلْجِنَّةُ إِنَّهُمْ لَمُحْضَرُونَ
Interpretation:
And they have claimed between Him and the jinn a lineage, but the jinn have already known that they [who made such claims] will be brought to [punishment].
سُبْحَٰنَ ٱللَّهِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ
Interpretation:
Exalted is Allah above what they describe,
إِلَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ
Interpretation:
Except the chosen servants of Allah [who do not share in that sin].
فَإِنَّكُمْ وَمَا تَعْبُدُونَ
Interpretation:
So indeed, you [disbelievers] and whatever you worship,
مَآ أَنتُمْ عَلَيْهِ بِفَٰتِنِينَ
Interpretation:
You cannot tempt [anyone] away from Him
إِلَّا مَنْ هُوَ صَالِ ٱلْجَحِيمِ
Interpretation:
Except he who is to [enter and] burn in the Hellfire.
وَمَا مِنَّآ إِلَّا لَهُۥ مَقَامٌۭ مَّعْلُومٌۭ
Interpretation:
[The angels say], "There is not among us any except that he has a known position.
وَإِنَّا لَنَحْنُ ٱلصَّآفُّونَ
Interpretation:
And indeed, we are those who line up [for prayer].
وَإِنَّا لَنَحْنُ ٱلْمُسَبِّحُونَ
Interpretation:
And indeed, we are those who exalt Allah."
وَإِن كَانُوا۟ لَيَقُولُونَ
Interpretation:
And indeed, the disbelievers used to say,
لَوْ أَنَّ عِندَنَا ذِكْرًۭا مِّنَ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
Interpretation:
"If we had a message from [those of] the former peoples,
لَكُنَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ
Interpretation:
We would have been the chosen servants of Allah."
فَكَفَرُوا۟ بِهِۦ ۖ فَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُونَ
Interpretation:
But they disbelieved in it, so they are going to know.
وَلَقَدْ سَبَقَتْ كَلِمَتُنَا لِعِبَادِنَا ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
Interpretation:
And Our word has already preceded for Our servants, the messengers,
إِنَّهُمْ لَهُمُ ٱلْمَنصُورُونَ
Interpretation:
[That] indeed, they would be those given victory
وَإِنَّ جُندَنَا لَهُمُ ٱلْغَٰلِبُونَ
Interpretation:
And [that] indeed, Our soldiers will be those who overcome.
فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ حَتَّىٰ حِينٍۢ
Interpretation:
So, [O Muhammad], leave them for a time.
وَأَبْصِرْهُمْ فَسَوْفَ يُبْصِرُونَ
Interpretation:
And see [what will befall] them, for they are going to see.
أَفَبِعَذَابِنَا يَسْتَعْجِلُونَ
Interpretation:
Then for Our punishment are they impatient?
فَإِذَا نَزَلَ بِسَاحَتِهِمْ فَسَآءَ صَبَاحُ ٱلْمُنذَرِينَ
Interpretation:
But when it descends in their territory, then evil is the morning of those who were warned.
وَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ حَتَّىٰ حِينٍۢ
Interpretation:
And leave them for a time.
وَأَبْصِرْ فَسَوْفَ يُبْصِرُونَ
Interpretation:
And see, for they are going to see.
سُبْحَٰنَ رَبِّكَ رَبِّ ٱلْعِزَّةِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ
Interpretation:
Exalted is your Lord, the Lord of might, above what they describe.
وَسَلَٰمٌ عَلَى ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
Interpretation:
And peace upon the messengers.
وَٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ
Interpretation:
And praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds.
وَٱلصَّٰٓفَّٰتِ صَفًّۭا 1 فَٱلزَّٰجِرَٰتِ زَجْرًۭا 2 فَٱلتَّٰلِيَٰتِ ذِكْرًا 3 إِنَّ إِلَٰهَكُمْ لَوَٰحِدٌۭ 4 رَّبُّ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا وَرَبُّ ٱلْمَشَٰرِقِ 5 إِنَّا زَيَّنَّا ٱلسَّمَآءَ ٱلدُّنْيَا بِزِينَةٍ ٱلْكَوَاكِبِ 6 وَحِفْظًۭا مِّن كُلِّ شَيْطَٰنٍۢ مَّارِدٍۢ 7 لَّا يَسَّمَّعُونَ إِلَى ٱلْمَلَإِ ٱلْأَعْلَىٰ وَيُقْذَفُونَ مِن كُلِّ جَانِبٍۢ 8 دُحُورًۭا ۖ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌۭ وَاصِبٌ 9 إِلَّا مَنْ خَطِفَ ٱلْخَطْفَةَ فَأَتْبَعَهُۥ شِهَابٌۭ ثَاقِبٌۭ 10 فَٱسْتَفْتِهِمْ أَهُمْ أَشَدُّ خَلْقًا أَم مَّنْ خَلَقْنَآ ۚ إِنَّا خَلَقْنَٰهُم مِّن طِينٍۢ لَّازِبٍۭ 11 بَلْ عَجِبْتَ وَيَسْخَرُونَ 12 وَإِذَا ذُكِّرُوا۟ لَا يَذْكُرُونَ 13 وَإِذَا رَأَوْا۟ ءَايَةًۭ يَسْتَسْخِرُونَ 14 وَقَالُوٓا۟ إِنْ هَٰذَآ إِلَّا سِحْرٌۭ مُّبِينٌ 15 أَءِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًۭا وَعِظَٰمًا أَءِنَّا لَمَبْعُوثُونَ 16 أَوَءَابَآؤُنَا ٱلْأَوَّلُونَ 17 قُلْ نَعَمْ وَأَنتُمْ دَٰخِرُونَ 18 فَإِنَّمَا هِىَ زَجْرَةٌۭ وَٰحِدَةٌۭ فَإِذَا هُمْ يَنظُرُونَ 19 وَقَالُوا۟ يَٰوَيْلَنَا هَٰذَا يَوْمُ ٱلدِّينِ 20 هَٰذَا يَوْمُ ٱلْفَصْلِ ٱلَّذِى كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَ 21 ۞ ٱحْشُرُوا۟ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ وَأَزْوَٰجَهُمْ وَمَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْبُدُونَ 22 مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ فَٱهْدُوهُمْ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطِ ٱلْجَحِيمِ 23 وَقِفُوهُمْ ۖ إِنَّهُم مَّسْـُٔولُونَ 24 مَا لَكُمْ لَا تَنَاصَرُونَ 25 بَلْ هُمُ ٱلْيَوْمَ مُسْتَسْلِمُونَ 26 وَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍۢ يَتَسَآءَلُونَ 27 قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّكُمْ كُنتُمْ تَأْتُونَنَا عَنِ ٱلْيَمِينِ 28 قَالُوا۟ بَل لَّمْ تَكُونُوا۟ مُؤْمِنِينَ 29 وَمَا كَانَ لَنَا عَلَيْكُم مِّن سُلْطَٰنٍۭ ۖ بَلْ كُنتُمْ قَوْمًۭا طَٰغِينَ 30 فَحَقَّ عَلَيْنَا قَوْلُ رَبِّنَآ ۖ إِنَّا لَذَآئِقُونَ 31 فَأَغْوَيْنَٰكُمْ إِنَّا كُنَّا غَٰوِينَ 32 فَإِنَّهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ فِى ٱلْعَذَابِ مُشْتَرِكُونَ 33 إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَفْعَلُ بِٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ 34 إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوٓا۟ إِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ 35 وَيَقُولُونَ أَئِنَّا لَتَارِكُوٓا۟ ءَالِهَتِنَا لِشَاعِرٍۢ مَّجْنُونٍۭ 36 بَلْ جَآءَ بِٱلْحَقِّ وَصَدَّقَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ 37 إِنَّكُمْ لَذَآئِقُوا۟ ٱلْعَذَابِ ٱلْأَلِيمِ 38 وَمَا تُجْزَوْنَ إِلَّا مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ 39 إِلَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ 40 أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ لَهُمْ رِزْقٌۭ مَّعْلُومٌۭ 41 فَوَٰكِهُ ۖ وَهُم مُّكْرَمُونَ 42 فِى جَنَّٰتِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ 43 عَلَىٰ سُرُرٍۢ مُّتَقَٰبِلِينَ 44 يُطَافُ عَلَيْهِم بِكَأْسٍۢ مِّن مَّعِينٍۭ 45 بَيْضَآءَ لَذَّةٍۢ لِّلشَّٰرِبِينَ 46 لَا فِيهَا غَوْلٌۭ وَلَا هُمْ عَنْهَا يُنزَفُونَ 47 وَعِندَهُمْ قَٰصِرَٰتُ ٱلطَّرْفِ عِينٌۭ 48 كَأَنَّهُنَّ بَيْضٌۭ مَّكْنُونٌۭ 49 فَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍۢ يَتَسَآءَلُونَ 50 قَالَ قَآئِلٌۭ مِّنْهُمْ إِنِّى كَانَ لِى قَرِينٌۭ 51 يَقُولُ أَءِنَّكَ لَمِنَ ٱلْمُصَدِّقِينَ 52 أَءِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًۭا وَعِظَٰمًا أَءِنَّا لَمَدِينُونَ 53 قَالَ هَلْ أَنتُم مُّطَّلِعُونَ 54 فَٱطَّلَعَ فَرَءَاهُ فِى سَوَآءِ ٱلْجَحِيمِ 55 قَالَ تَٱللَّهِ إِن كِدتَّ لَتُرْدِينِ 56 وَلَوْلَا نِعْمَةُ رَبِّى لَكُنتُ مِنَ ٱلْمُحْضَرِينَ 57 أَفَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَيِّتِينَ 58 إِلَّا مَوْتَتَنَا ٱلْأُولَىٰ وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُعَذَّبِينَ 59 إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَهُوَ ٱلْفَوْزُ ٱلْعَظِيمُ 60 لِمِثْلِ هَٰذَا فَلْيَعْمَلِ ٱلْعَٰمِلُونَ 61 أَذَٰلِكَ خَيْرٌۭ نُّزُلًا أَمْ شَجَرَةُ ٱلزَّقُّومِ 62 إِنَّا جَعَلْنَٰهَا فِتْنَةًۭ لِّلظَّٰلِمِينَ 63 إِنَّهَا شَجَرَةٌۭ تَخْرُجُ فِىٓ أَصْلِ ٱلْجَحِيمِ 64 طَلْعُهَا كَأَنَّهُۥ رُءُوسُ ٱلشَّيَٰطِينِ 65 فَإِنَّهُمْ لَءَاكِلُونَ مِنْهَا فَمَالِـُٔونَ مِنْهَا ٱلْبُطُونَ 66 ثُمَّ إِنَّ لَهُمْ عَلَيْهَا لَشَوْبًۭا مِّنْ حَمِيمٍۢ 67 ثُمَّ إِنَّ مَرْجِعَهُمْ لَإِلَى ٱلْجَحِيمِ 68 إِنَّهُمْ أَلْفَوْا۟ ءَابَآءَهُمْ ضَآلِّينَ 69 فَهُمْ عَلَىٰٓ ءَاثَٰرِهِمْ يُهْرَعُونَ 70 وَلَقَدْ ضَلَّ قَبْلَهُمْ أَكْثَرُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ 71 وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا فِيهِم مُّنذِرِينَ 72 فَٱنظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلْمُنذَرِينَ 73 إِلَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ 74 وَلَقَدْ نَادَىٰنَا نُوحٌۭ فَلَنِعْمَ ٱلْمُجِيبُونَ 75 وَنَجَّيْنَٰهُ وَأَهْلَهُۥ مِنَ ٱلْكَرْبِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ 76 وَجَعَلْنَا ذُرِّيَّتَهُۥ هُمُ ٱلْبَاقِينَ 77 وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ فِى ٱلْءَاخِرِينَ 78 سَلَٰمٌ عَلَىٰ نُوحٍۢ فِى ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ 79 إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ 80 إِنَّهُۥ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ 81 ثُمَّ أَغْرَقْنَا ٱلْءَاخَرِينَ 82 ۞ وَإِنَّ مِن شِيعَتِهِۦ لَإِبْرَٰهِيمَ 83 إِذْ جَآءَ رَبَّهُۥ بِقَلْبٍۢ سَلِيمٍ 84 إِذْ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوْمِهِۦ مَاذَا تَعْبُدُونَ 85 أَئِفْكًا ءَالِهَةًۭ دُونَ ٱللَّهِ تُرِيدُونَ 86 فَمَا ظَنُّكُم بِرَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ 87 فَنَظَرَ نَظْرَةًۭ فِى ٱلنُّجُومِ 88 فَقَالَ إِنِّى سَقِيمٌۭ 89 فَتَوَلَّوْا۟ عَنْهُ مُدْبِرِينَ 90 فَرَاغَ إِلَىٰٓ ءَالِهَتِهِمْ فَقَالَ أَلَا تَأْكُلُونَ 91 مَا لَكُمْ لَا تَنطِقُونَ 92 فَرَاغَ عَلَيْهِمْ ضَرْبًۢا بِٱلْيَمِينِ 93 فَأَقْبَلُوٓا۟ إِلَيْهِ يَزِفُّونَ 94 قَالَ أَتَعْبُدُونَ مَا تَنْحِتُونَ 95 وَٱللَّهُ خَلَقَكُمْ وَمَا تَعْمَلُونَ 96 قَالُوا۟ ٱبْنُوا۟ لَهُۥ بُنْيَٰنًۭا فَأَلْقُوهُ فِى ٱلْجَحِيمِ 97 فَأَرَادُوا۟ بِهِۦ كَيْدًۭا فَجَعَلْنَٰهُمُ ٱلْأَسْفَلِينَ 98 وَقَالَ إِنِّى ذَاهِبٌ إِلَىٰ رَبِّى سَيَهْدِينِ 99 رَبِّ هَبْ لِى مِنَ ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ 100 فَبَشَّرْنَٰهُ بِغُلَٰمٍ حَلِيمٍۢ 101 فَلَمَّا بَلَغَ مَعَهُ ٱلسَّعْىَ قَالَ يَٰبُنَىَّ إِنِّىٓ أَرَىٰ فِى ٱلْمَنَامِ أَنِّىٓ أَذْبَحُكَ فَٱنظُرْ مَاذَا تَرَىٰ ۚ قَالَ يَٰٓأَبَتِ ٱفْعَلْ مَا تُؤْمَرُ ۖ سَتَجِدُنِىٓ إِن شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰبِرِينَ 102 فَلَمَّآ أَسْلَمَا وَتَلَّهُۥ لِلْجَبِينِ 103 وَنَٰدَيْنَٰهُ أَن يَٰٓإِبْرَٰهِيمُ 104 قَدْ صَدَّقْتَ ٱلرُّءْيَآ ۚ إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ 105 إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَهُوَ ٱلْبَلَٰٓؤُا۟ ٱلْمُبِينُ 106 وَفَدَيْنَٰهُ بِذِبْحٍ عَظِيمٍۢ 107 وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ فِى ٱلْءَاخِرِينَ 108 سَلَٰمٌ عَلَىٰٓ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ 109 كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ 110 إِنَّهُۥ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ 111 وَبَشَّرْنَٰهُ بِإِسْحَٰقَ نَبِيًّۭا مِّنَ ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ 112 وَبَٰرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَىٰٓ إِسْحَٰقَ ۚ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِهِمَا مُحْسِنٌۭ وَظَالِمٌۭ لِّنَفْسِهِۦ مُبِينٌۭ 113 وَلَقَدْ مَنَنَّا عَلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ وَهَٰرُونَ 114 وَنَجَّيْنَٰهُمَا وَقَوْمَهُمَا مِنَ ٱلْكَرْبِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ 115 وَنَصَرْنَٰهُمْ فَكَانُوا۟ هُمُ ٱلْغَٰلِبِينَ 116 وَءَاتَيْنَٰهُمَا ٱلْكِتَٰبَ ٱلْمُسْتَبِينَ 117 وَهَدَيْنَٰهُمَا ٱلصِّرَٰطَ ٱلْمُسْتَقِيمَ 118 وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِمَا فِى ٱلْءَاخِرِينَ 119 سَلَٰمٌ عَلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ وَهَٰرُونَ 120 إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ 121 إِنَّهُمَا مِنْ عِبَادِنَا ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ 122 وَإِنَّ إِلْيَاسَ لَمِنَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ 123 إِذْ قَالَ لِقَوْمِهِۦٓ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ 124 أَتَدْعُونَ بَعْلًۭا وَتَذَرُونَ أَحْسَنَ ٱلْخَٰلِقِينَ 125 ٱللَّهَ رَبَّكُمْ وَرَبَّ ءَابَآئِكُمُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ 126 فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَإِنَّهُمْ لَمُحْضَرُونَ 127 إِلَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ 128 وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ فِى ٱلْءَاخِرِينَ 129 سَلَٰمٌ عَلَىٰٓ إِلْ يَاسِينَ 130 إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ 131 إِنَّهُۥ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ 132 وَإِنَّ لُوطًۭا لَّمِنَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ 133 إِذْ نَجَّيْنَٰهُ وَأَهْلَهُۥٓ أَجْمَعِينَ 134 إِلَّا عَجُوزًۭا فِى ٱلْغَٰبِرِينَ 135 ثُمَّ دَمَّرْنَا ٱلْءَاخَرِينَ 136 وَإِنَّكُمْ لَتَمُرُّونَ عَلَيْهِم مُّصْبِحِينَ 137 وَبِٱلَّيْلِ ۗ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ 138 وَإِنَّ يُونُسَ لَمِنَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ 139 إِذْ أَبَقَ إِلَى ٱلْفُلْكِ ٱلْمَشْحُونِ 140 فَسَاهَمَ فَكَانَ مِنَ ٱلْمُدْحَضِينَ 141 فَٱلْتَقَمَهُ ٱلْحُوتُ وَهُوَ مُلِيمٌۭ 142 فَلَوْلَآ أَنَّهُۥ كَانَ مِنَ ٱلْمُسَبِّحِينَ 143 لَلَبِثَ فِى بَطْنِهِۦٓ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ 144 ۞ فَنَبَذْنَٰهُ بِٱلْعَرَآءِ وَهُوَ سَقِيمٌۭ 145 وَأَنۢبَتْنَا عَلَيْهِ شَجَرَةًۭ مِّن يَقْطِينٍۢ 146 وَأَرْسَلْنَٰهُ إِلَىٰ مِا۟ئَةِ أَلْفٍ أَوْ يَزِيدُونَ 147 فَـَٔامَنُوا۟ فَمَتَّعْنَٰهُمْ إِلَىٰ حِينٍۢ 148 فَٱسْتَفْتِهِمْ أَلِرَبِّكَ ٱلْبَنَاتُ وَلَهُمُ ٱلْبَنُونَ 149 أَمْ خَلَقْنَا ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةَ إِنَٰثًۭا وَهُمْ شَٰهِدُونَ 150 أَلَآ إِنَّهُم مِّنْ إِفْكِهِمْ لَيَقُولُونَ 151 وَلَدَ ٱللَّهُ وَإِنَّهُمْ لَكَٰذِبُونَ 152 أَصْطَفَى ٱلْبَنَاتِ عَلَى ٱلْبَنِينَ 153 مَا لَكُمْ كَيْفَ تَحْكُمُونَ 154 أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ 155 أَمْ لَكُمْ سُلْطَٰنٌۭ مُّبِينٌۭ 156 فَأْتُوا۟ بِكِتَٰبِكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ صَٰدِقِينَ 157 وَجَعَلُوا۟ بَيْنَهُۥ وَبَيْنَ ٱلْجِنَّةِ نَسَبًۭا ۚ وَلَقَدْ عَلِمَتِ ٱلْجِنَّةُ إِنَّهُمْ لَمُحْضَرُونَ 158 سُبْحَٰنَ ٱللَّهِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ 159 إِلَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ 160 فَإِنَّكُمْ وَمَا تَعْبُدُونَ 161 مَآ أَنتُمْ عَلَيْهِ بِفَٰتِنِينَ 162 إِلَّا مَنْ هُوَ صَالِ ٱلْجَحِيمِ 163 وَمَا مِنَّآ إِلَّا لَهُۥ مَقَامٌۭ مَّعْلُومٌۭ 164 وَإِنَّا لَنَحْنُ ٱلصَّآفُّونَ 165 وَإِنَّا لَنَحْنُ ٱلْمُسَبِّحُونَ 166 وَإِن كَانُوا۟ لَيَقُولُونَ 167 لَوْ أَنَّ عِندَنَا ذِكْرًۭا مِّنَ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ 168 لَكُنَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ 169 فَكَفَرُوا۟ بِهِۦ ۖ فَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُونَ 170 وَلَقَدْ سَبَقَتْ كَلِمَتُنَا لِعِبَادِنَا ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ 171 إِنَّهُمْ لَهُمُ ٱلْمَنصُورُونَ 172 وَإِنَّ جُندَنَا لَهُمُ ٱلْغَٰلِبُونَ 173 فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ حَتَّىٰ حِينٍۢ 174 وَأَبْصِرْهُمْ فَسَوْفَ يُبْصِرُونَ 175 أَفَبِعَذَابِنَا يَسْتَعْجِلُونَ 176 فَإِذَا نَزَلَ بِسَاحَتِهِمْ فَسَآءَ صَبَاحُ ٱلْمُنذَرِينَ 177 وَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ حَتَّىٰ حِينٍۢ 178 وَأَبْصِرْ فَسَوْفَ يُبْصِرُونَ 179 سُبْحَٰنَ رَبِّكَ رَبِّ ٱلْعِزَّةِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ 180 وَسَلَٰمٌ عَلَى ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ 181 وَٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ 182
