سُورَةُ الفِيلِ - The Elephant

5 Verses Meccan Surah 105

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

أَلَمْ تَرَ كَيْفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِأَصْحَٰبِ ٱلْفِيلِ

Have you not considered, [O Muhammad], how your Lord dealt with the companions of the elephant?

Verse 1 • Page 601

أَلَمْ يَجْعَلْ كَيْدَهُمْ فِى تَضْلِيلٍۢ

Did He not make their plan into misguidance?

Verse 2 • Page 601

وَأَرْسَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ طَيْرًا أَبَابِيلَ

And He sent against them birds in flocks,

Verse 3 • Page 601

تَرْمِيهِم بِحِجَارَةٍۢ مِّن سِجِّيلٍۢ

Striking them with stones of hard clay,

Verse 4 • Page 601

فَجَعَلَهُمْ كَعَصْفٍۢ مَّأْكُولٍۭ

And He made them like eaten straw.
